About Ian Lomax, MBA:
Ian handles all things car related: finding and buying awesome cars and arranging any needed repairs. He is our customers’ point person for all vehicle sales and pre-purchase inspections. He has been buying, selling and restoring cars since he was in high school and knows how to spot a solid car and avoid a potential money pit. While he loves having a job that lets him work around cars all day, he truly enjoys helping people get a good deal and demystifying the complex process of buying and maintaining a used car. Prior to starting Esprit Motors in 2013, he was an automotive engineer, a marketing manager for a large technology company, and ran an online business. He has a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. He currently drives a 1974 Alfa Romeo Berlina that is the envy of every 12-year-old boy in the neighborhood.
About Kim Lomax, MPA:
Kim handles all things business-related: the operations, financial management, marketing, and the DMV-compliance requirements of the dealership. Most of all, she loves helping nervous car buyers by translating car-speak for people-speak whenever needed. She was recently described by a customer (Hi, Darin!) as “awesomely thorough” and takes that as an enormous compliment. In addition to running the business operations of Esprit, she also consults and freelances for various nonprofits doing fundraising, communications, and grant writing. She has a BA from the University of Delaware in English and an MPA from Portland State University. She has towed a vintage travel trailer on trips all over the West Coast while dragging her family along for the ride.
